A good 9 holes golf course for newer golfers as there really isn't a lot of hazards to avoid. Course kept in good condition. Helpful staff. However, there's a lot of low hanging powerlines on a few fairways that can interfere with the ball flight.
This is a good course for the family or for new golfers. Suggestion is not to go in with very high expectations. Treat it like a tune-up round to get swinging again. Great for first few times out for the year. Better 9 short holes than nothing before you go for a full 18 somewhere. There are a TON of overhanging wires on the last few holes that are not very well placed, depending on your tee box. Our group hit 3 in a row on the same hole. But it's quick, local city course and cheap. You get what you get. :)
The perfect place to work on your short game.
They keep the holes in great shape during the Summer if you come after 7:30pm you can play for a discounted rate.
Seniors get a great discount here and yiu can rent either a pull cart or golf cart too.
Even without a discount the prices are quite reasonable and it is easy to book online here.
I haven't golfed here since I was a kid/teenager. Hidden little gem tucked along side Glenmore reservoir. Can hit driver ... carefully on one or two holes but It is a pitch and putt but was alot of fun.
It's a decent 9-hole course and reasonably priced but experience was soured by a guy watering the green as we were playing on it. He did not so much as move a step even as we were putting. Literally watering in the middle of my putting line. My ball got soaking wet. Distracting electrical noise and friends hit a line on a tee shot, which doesn't seem like an uncommon occurrence. A step up in difficulty over the McCall par-3 course but nothing special.
Just started playing with the family at 11am today. Mr Marshall here gave us the warning after we all just tee off and said we were holding up everyone on the 1st par. 😡 wow. This is how they treat families here. So we continued on as we were told we had 5 minutes to finish up. We ended up being two pars ahead of the group behind us. Ok looks like the ones behind us were allowed to hold everyone else up. Glad we were not the ones holding everyone up. Ridiculous management. What a way to make it no fun for the families.
Tiny affordable city course. First 3 holes are par 4s and the remainder are par 3s. Great way to work your short game. Sometimes they offer a 2nd round for a discounted rate. There is a local rule that if you hit a power line you can take another shot with no penalty.
Lakeview is a simple nine-hole course with no sand traps or water to worry about. If you're learning golf, or you're just looking for a relaxing round, this will do the trick. There are overhead power lines to contend with on many holes, but they don't detract too much from the overall enjoyment.
